This link and tip show you how to set up Lotus Notes and Windows so that the Paradox Mail methods will use Notes to send email.Setting up Lotus Notes for use with The Mail Methods in Paradox Contributed by Kim Howarter In order to use Lotus Notes to send email using the Mail methods in Paradox, first follow the instructions in this article on configuring Lotus Notes as a MAPI service provider. In addition to this, be sure to set up Lotus Notes as the email program in MS Internet Explorer. This is done from MS Internet Explorer by selecting Tools > Internet Options from the menu, selecting the Programs tab of the resulting dialog and selecting Lotus Notes from the drop-down list of E-mail programs. Once these two steps are done, the Mail methods in Paradox should use your Lotus Notes email client. Editor's Note: The IBM web page linked from this article may go out of date. I have found that navigating IBM's web site to the software support section and searching for Notes MAPI Service Provider will yield several responses, the most important of which are those named "Notes MAPI Service Provider Troubleshooting Guide and Known Issues" - please give this a try if the link above stops working. |
