This website is part of The Paradox Community, which consists of Paradox users and developers from all over the world.

Paradox is a database management and development tool currently sold by Corel Corporation as part of the WordPerfect Office suite. You'll find a lot of information here on what Paradox is, how to use it, and even how not use it on the pages of this site.

The Paradox Community website was established in 2001 by Tony and Liz McGuire as a free community resource dedicated to the support of Paradox applications. The website tapped into the thriving community of Paradox users and developers across the planet, who collectively produced articles on development, programming, querying, and much more.

In 2002, the newsgroups were added, which consolidated the community by providing the first independent (not monitored by Corel) and consolidated (not subject to the Usenet vagaries of comp.databases.paradox) Internet Paradox forum since the old Compuserve days.

In the summer of 2004, the stewardship of this resource was transitioned to Larry DiGiovanni.  The site runs under FreeBSD.  The newsgroups are powered by DNEWS, and the website content is managed using Mambo Open Source, running on Apache, PHP, and MySQL.  The file repository is reMOSitory, by Black Sheep Research, and community extensions are Community Builder, by MamboJoe.
