Steven Green I was managing a small insurance office in the late 80's, trying to automate the endless task of tracking policy numbers, renewal dates, birthdays, automobile VIN numbers, etc., back in the days of XT computers and 10 meg hard drives. One day in 1987, I found Paradox for DOS version 2, by Ansa. I fell in love with it, and it quickly became obvious that Paradox was my real calling in life.
One app led to another, and by 1989 I was programming full time, for a variety of clients. Over the years, I've done jobs for customers that range in size from major American companies such as TRW, Mobil, USA Today, and the Red Cross, all the way down to small "mom-and-pop" shops no bigger than my own.
I started on-line in 1992 on Prodigy, and soon found myself to be the center of the Paradox universe there. John Moore noticed, and got me to move over to Borland’s Paradox forums on CompuServe. Two years later, I received the highest Paradox honor, by being asked to join Borland’s TeamB support staff. I was the first TeamB member to offer regular support on the Internet, in comp.databases.paradox. When Paradox moved over to Corel, I moved over, too, as part of the new CTech support group there.
On the home front, things are "fluid", as they like to say on TV. There’s my wife, four kids (two grown girls and two young boys), two sons-in-law, three grandchildren, my brothers and their families, my mom, and (at last count) four cats and two guinea pigs.
