| Bio: |

Tom Krieg After studying for a diploma in applied science (chemistry), I decided the job offered involved "smelly" work so I drifted into computers as a trainee programmer at the end of '69. I can't remember much until about '72 but worked with IBM mainframes, Assembler, COBOL, PL/I, DL/I, CICS and IMS until 1985. I've worked for Banks, Airlines, Pharmaceutical companies and various Departments of Education. During this period I also gained some sort of qualification in Economics. Then there were a few years developing COBOL software for Burroughs B20s.
I found Paradox in the early '90s but became seriously involved in 1994 when it was decided a B20 based Microfocus COBOL system would cost too much to rewrite for PCs and year 2000 compliance. I've basically been with Paradox ever since. I now have my own business, writing software for the auto industry, using Paradox. I tried Access in its early days, but came back to Paradox very quickly and have, over the years, become a Tcursor fanatic.
I live with my partner and whatever animals are around in an old farm house in the foothills of Australia's Great Dividing Range. She paints and grows organic fruits, vegetables and berries and feeds whatever needs feeding, and I cook whatever needs cooking. I enjoy ocean fishing (when I can find the time), photography, and, mainly through necessity, renovating an old house and making furniture.
