| Bio: |
Rick Kelly I've been developing software since the 1970s, having started with IBM 360 assembler, sorters and IBM 029 keypunch machines. (I really enjoyed fooling around with that drum control card!) I'm a bit embarrassed in still remembering most of the 360 op codes in hex... I continued this assembler affair in the early 1980s with the IBM PC and Intel. First exposure to Paradox was around 1988 or so, and of course, I extended it with my own ASM stuff. I finally discovered wisdom with PDX 4.5/5.0 and conceded victory to Windows. Today, the vast majority of my development is with Paradox and I do very little with Delphi, VB, or C++ and stopped soliciting non-Paradox work. (I'm still open to writing a stray DLL or so with ASM).
My passions are my family, my close friends, ocean kayaking and dancing. I teach Lindy Hop swing locally and also am a member of a swing performance troupe.
An important, loveable, connected man, having fun with Paradox!
Photo is my partner and close friend Teddy and myself just before going onstage for a dance performance during the closing ceremonies of the 2001 Special Olympics.
